Huddle.net wins Microsoft SharePoint 2010 SocialFest

  

Seven top Microsoft BizSpark startups building enterprise collaboration applications, competed last week in a coding marathon at Microsoft’s Silicon Valley campus, enhancing their applications by utilizing the collaboration features of SharePoint 2010. Huddle.net, a UK startup, won the competition.

Microsoft BizSpark’s Graphic.ly on Stage with Steve Ballmer

 

The Seattle Time’s Sharon Chan wrote an article, “CES: How to get mentioned in a Steve Ballmer Microsoft keynote” describing the story behind the startup Graphic.ly’s presence on stage with Steve Ballmer. A Microsoft BizSpark company, Graphic.ly is launching it site Friday, and has signed partnerships with Marvel and Top Cow to distribute their comic books in a digital format online. The Washington Post published an article, “Graphic.ly Raises $1.2M For Comic Publishing,” describing Graphic.ly’s first product, which focuses on comic publishers, creators and enthusiasts, and provides an immersive social experience and marketplace around digital comics and associated merchandise. The company was also profiled in an article on Vator.TV News. Their list of investors include DFJ Mercury, Starz Media LLC, Northstar Equity, David Cohen, Chris Sacca, Jake Nickell, Paige Craig and Dave McClure. Graphic.ly’s native Windows 7 application was also written about on Sharpnews.info, The New York Times, and The Financial Times.
